The Mitchell Institute’s Spacepower Advantage Center of Excellence (MI-SPACE) is pleased to announce that Jennifer Reeves has joined our team as a Senior Resident Fellow for Space Studies. The expansion of the MI-SPACE team demonstrates Mitchell Institute’s commitment to furthering the understanding of spacepower within the national security enterprise.
Jen Reeves is a retired United States Air Force Colonel, who previously served as the Chief of Program Integration, Headquarters U.S. Air Force. In this capacity, Reeves built and defended the annual USAF budget and further shaped future investments. Prior to that, Reeves served as Commander of the 341st Missile Wing in Global Strike Command and Commander of the 381st Training Group of Air Education & Training Command. As the 341st Missile Wing Commander, Reeves led combat-ready Airmen responsible for base support, maintenance, security, and operations of Minuteman III intercontinental ballistic missiles at Malmstrom Air Force Base, Montana. While leading the 381st Training Group, Reeves worked to cultivate the next generation of USAF leaders tasked with safeguarding and operating the nation’s space and nuclear capabilities. As the Commander of the 2d Space Warning Squadron, Reeves led military, civilians, and contractors alike, providing global missile warning while operating the Space-Based Infra-Red System (SBIRS). After her military career, Reeves worked in the private sector as a client success manager supporting the Department of the Air Force with niche-built AI and machine learning applications created to solve challenging resourcing decisions. Reeves has extensive experience developing needed Air and Space Force capabilities as well as a wealth of operational expertise, making her a strong addition to the team.

I believe she will expand the ways our team informs, educates, and advocates on behalf of the nation’s interests in space, and we’re glad to have her onboard.”
